Self-care is critical to our ability to effectively care for others in our lives. But, we often neglect taking care of ourselves. And forget about taking care of ourselves FIRST. This ongoing neglect comes at a cost. And, eventually we’ll have to pay.
We know you’ve heard this time and time again.
The problem is that we often don’t know where to start or the idea of starting a new program is overwhelming. Another reason we delay self-care is time and money.
To help remove some of those barriers, we’ve put together a list of fantastic, free places on YouTube that give proper attention to yoga for beginners. Each channel offers videos of various lengths. Don’t worry if you don’t have half an hour – let alone a whole hour – to complete a workout. We’ve got you covered.
*We only included yoga instructors who offer new yoga videos each week.*
Videos on this channel aren’t limited to basic yoga. You’ll also find meditation, philosophy and demonstration videos. Her blog has some bonus behind the scenes information which we found pretty cool.
I like how this YouTuber has her channel playlist broken up by length, body part focus, and time of day. She also has breathing and mediation videos available on her channel. Don’t forget to check out her blog!
This couple presents a program that offers fitness and plant-based eating along with yoga instruction. I like to call it the trifecta of overall well-being. From the look of their videos – it’s a winning combination.

Adriene has plenty of videos for people who are short on time – which I love! You don’t need a whole hour to reap the benefits of a consistent yoga practice. Her short videos fall into the 5, 7 and 10 minute range. She also maintains a blog at yogawithadriene.com
